Programme
The conference Future Space, aims to bring the Swedish and international space community together to grow knowledge exchange as well as to explore space related opportunities.
The conference sessions and exhibitions cover both commercial and institutional, as well as defense-related topics.
We are also pleased to offer the opportunity to meet our Swedish astronauts and listen to their insights around space exploration and how Sweden and Europe may contribute to its future.
Join us at Linköping Konsert & Kongress in Sweden on September 16-17 2024!

In this unique interactive journey in space, you will be immersed in images and data from space in fulldome 3D
This live dome presentation will show OpenSpace which is a scalable software platform that paves the path for the next generation of public outreach in immersive environments such as dome theaters and planetariums and at the same time enables research in space physics and astronomy. We will demonstrate OpenSpace features such as: globe browsing which contextualizes extreme resolution imagery of planetary surfaces, interactive visualization of large star fields, and volumetric rendering of MHD simulations of coronal mass ejections and operational space weather forecasting. We will also visit the ISS in orbit and relive the Apollo missions to the moon using LRO images and surface reconstruction. Our journey into deep space will show recently discovered exoplanets and then continue all the way to the origin of the cosmic background radiation. The OpenSpace project builds on a collaboration between Linköping University, The American Museum of Natural History, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, New York University, University of Utah.
